(November 15, 2016) - Life Wear Technologies, makers of CryoMAX and ThermalMAX and the leading supplier of both branded and private label sports medicine products, has donated $20,000 worth of Life Wear products to the Rhode Island Veterans Home.
Four pallets of Life Wear products are on their way to the veterans from Life Wear's facility in Pompano Beach, Fla. The shipment, which included wrist, ankle, knee and back supports, bandages, athletic tape and CryoMAX® Cold Therapy 8-Hour Reusable Cold Packs, should arrive this week.
"Congressman Jim Langevin had indicated to us that the Veterans Home could use some of our products," explains Life Wear co-founder and CEO Brad Waugh. "As a local company, we are always more than willing to help Rhode Island veterans."
The Rhode Island Veterans Home is a 110-acre complex on Mount Hope Bay in Bristol. The home provides quality nursing and residential care to Rhode Island war veterans, including social, medical, and rehabilitative services.
Life Wear Technologies, LLC was established in 1974 as one of the original manufacturers of sports medicine products. After gaining notoriety as a leading innovator in the sporting goods arena, the company shifted its focus to the rapidly growing first aid and pharmacy market. In addition to the health supports, Life Wear Technologies began manufacturing elastic bandages, athletic tape and eventually hot & cold therapy products to become the first one-source solution for private label sports medicine products. Today, Life Wear Technologies is a leading supplier of both private label and branded sports medicine products sold in chain drug, food and mass merchant retailers.
